 LIFE IN TIBETAN SETTLEMENTS

Traditional wool spinning for carpets. The wools are still spun using old spindle wheels.  The work usually carried out by the elderly women, who chat and gossip or often reciting prayers all day while spinning the wool.  The work doesn't pay much but it is a important supplement to poor families' income.

These works also relieves the boredom of life in the settlement where there are hardly anything else to do.
