 LIFE IN TIBETAN SETTLEMENTS

Farming is the main occupation in the settlements. The works are labour intensive and whole community works together to  harvest and plant crops.

The yields from farming is too dependant on unpredictable weathers pattern and even than the rewards are marginal.  Therefore, many younger people are moving away from the settlements to seek work in cities and aboard, leaving the old and small children behind.
