Ngoenga School, Tibetan school for children with special needs.Ngoenga school has 45 children with various disabilities ranging from Cerebral Palsy to behaviour disturbances to speech and hearing problems to autism. It is run entirely on donation basis, has 7 teachers, 8 house parents, a driver, a Physiotherapist, a handyman, 2 cooks, a director, a secretary and an accountant. It also has volunteers helping out. Due to the special needs of the students, it costs about £70 per child per month. The Tibet House Trust provided £11,4000 for maintenance over two years. The grant has been the backbone of their day to day funding. They have recently asked the Trust for more help and also to find sponsors for the children. We are currently appealing for people to sponsor a child at Ngoenga and give them the opportunities to learn and prosper. Due to the high cost of maintenances for each child, they have divided the cost of sponsorship, where each child needs four sponsors. Currently they have 63 sponsors and require about 90 more sponsors to run the school efficiently. We are asking sponsors to donate £17 a month to help a child and the school to run efficiently. This school is the only hope for these children to get the special care and attention they need.
