Comic Relief to fund "Education for Tibetan Refugees in India, Bhutan & Nepal"

Tibet House Trust received confirmation from Comic Relief - London, that they will provide £ 131,000 for our project: "Education for Tibetan Refugees in India, Bhutan & Nepal"

The Project will fund the Department of Education's three years activities on;

1.    Research, translation and publication into Tibetan Language;

• Mathematics and Science text-books for Class III to VIII.

• "Historical Kings of Tibet - Volumes I to XII"

•  Nyugsar and Sherig Journal.

2.   To upgrade and produce new Teaching Aid Materials

3.    Career Guidance and Counseling;

• Workshops and training for teachers and students.

• Compilation of database at Career Resource Centre.

• Production of career information for students.

This Project directly relates to the survival of the distinct Tibetan identity and culture and we are grateful to Comic Relief for coming to our help.
